Pilgrims Gelateria in Berwick-upon-Tweed

"Very generously sized ice creams! Lovely friendly lady who makes these ice creams at home nearby. Choice of chocolate, caramel, toffee apple, raspberry swirl, Jaffa cake, peach and ginger, mango etc. Went for a two-scoop of double chocolate and jaffa cake and it’s the biggest ice cream I’ve ever had. The chocolate was almost like Betty Crocker’s devil’s food icing it was so rich. Only thing missing was a choice of peanut butter ice cream, but no one this side of the pond seems to get peanut butter chocolate combo. There’s also the option to have a 7 scoop polystyrene container as a to-go option. Apparently this is safe for 1-2 hour journey. Great way to eat ice cream at home. Will come back next time we’re in the area."

"We finished off our wonderful visit to Holy Island with visit to Pilgrims Gelateria. We had milkshakes which were absolutely delicious. Made from your choice of ice cream with the addition of milk. It was only when I saw oat milk being added that I learnt that all the ice cream is vegan, not that you would ever know the difference. I had the salted vanilla Lovely shop and great service well worth a visit"
